Juliana and Nicola, also known as the Giraffe Sisters, are multidisciplinary artists based in Los Angeles, CA. As visual artists, the sisters draw from their experience growing up around Hollywood, their fine art background, and mime training to create surreal landscapes and character driven stories for both their commercial and narrative work.
Born in the San Fernando Valley to an Argentine mother and British Father, Juliana and Nicola are first generation Valley girls whose imaginations were colored by growing up between Tim Burton’s Burbank suburbia and the cow spotted hills of the British countryside.
Creating together since they were little girls, the sisters were only separated once when Nicola left to London to study fine art at Central Saint Martins, while Juliana studied cinematography at Art Center College of Design. However, they reunited when they both left university early in pursuit of practical experience, creation, and adventure together.
When they are not on set they are at Mime School.
